Sinkhole appears on street near Delhi's Hauz Khas after road caves in - See pics

A portion of road caved in near Hauz Khas in Delhi on Saturday creating a massive sinkhole which led to a slight disruption in traffic. The authorities were informed about the sinkhole between 9:30 AM and 10 AM. The area has been barricaded and no one was injured in the incident. See Pic here

The sinkhole was brought to the attention of the local authorities at around 9:30 AM on Saturday.

"We barricaded the area and informed the traffic department. It is not confirmed but the cause can be a cracked sewer line connected to Delhi Jal Board. No one was injured," Assistant Engineer UB Singh told ANI.

The traffic around the area has been diverted to avoid any further incidents. It has led to a minor traffic dispruption.
