Thanks to the movement of cyclonic circulation from North West Bay of Bengal to Gangetic West Bengal, Kolkata and its adjoining areas are witnessing heavy rainfall. Apart from Bengal, several parts of the country are experiencing heavy showers, or are likely to receive rains in the coming days.

A cyclonic circulation can bring rain
According to India Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over east central and adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal around September 25. It is likely to move west-northwest-wards and reach Odisha coast during subsequent 48 hours. Under its influence, a fresh spell of heavy rainfall likely over Odisha and adjoining areas from September 26.

National capital to receive showers
Showers are likely to return to the national capital after a few days break. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light showers on Tuesday (September 21). The capital may see a moderate spell on Wednesday aswell, while there would be light rain in subsequent days till September 24.
