Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Monday (December 6) host Russian President Vladimir Putin for the 21st India-Russia Annual Summit in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today host Russian President Vladimir Putin for the 21st India-Russia Annual Summit in New Delhi. This is their first face-to-face meeting since their rendezvous on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Brasilia in November 2019.

 

The meeting is likely to take place at 5:30 pm at the Hyderabad House during which the two leaders will review the state and prospects of bilateral relations and discuss ways to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries. Read more

India reports 17 new Omicron cases, total tally rises to 21

India witnessed 17 new cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 on Sunday - nine persons in Rajasthan capital Jaipur, seven in Maharashtra's Pune district and a fully vaccinated man who arrived in Delhi from Tanzania - taking the tally to 21 in the country.

 

With this, four states and the national capital have now recorded cases of the new variant. Read more
