India on Thursday celebrated its 73rd Independence Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort in New Delhi for the sixth consecutive year. People across the length and breadth of the country soaked in the colours of the Tiranga to celebrate the most significant day in Indian history. Massive security arrangements were put into place across New Delhi to ensure that celebrations took place smoothly.
