New Delhi: The Kalkaji Mandir is going to reopen from June 8 and the temple authorities have taken every step to ensure social distancing and follow the Centre and State government’s safety norms.

The religious places across the country that were closed for almost three months due to the coronavirus outbreak are set to reopen from June 8.

The head priest of the mandir, Pithadhishwar Shri Surendranath Avadhoot Ji Maharaj said that all the precautionary steps are being taken in view of the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Shri Avadhoot added, “Three sanitized tunnels have been installed on the main pathways of the temple’s courtyard. We have pasted ‘the social distance’ posters on floors.”

He informed the devotees will be checked through thermal screenings.

He said the large crowd gathering will not be allowed in the temple premises, and the devotees will be sent in a group of 15 for darshan of Maa Kalka.

People above 65 years, children below 10 years and pregnant women will not be allowed.

The temple will only be open for darshan while prasad distribution, ringing bells, and offering wreaths will be strictly prohibited.

Shri Avadhoot Maharaj himself visited the entire temple on June 7 and issued necessary instructions to the concerned people.
