The farmers protest in India grabbed eyeballs internationally after several celebs came out in support of the the protesting farmers. Pop star Rihanna created a flutter when she shared a message about the farmers' protest with a news update and captioned the post asking her followers and fans using the trending #FarmersProtest hashtag. She wrote: “why aren’t we talking about this?! #FarmersProtest.”

Indian-Canadian Youtube star Lilly Singh thanked American musician Rihanna for tweeting in support of the ongoing farmers' protest in India. Singh who is popularly known as Superwoman, replied and thanked Rihanna for speaking in support of the farmers as she shared a post with the hashtag '#IStandWithFarmers".
Diljit Dosanjh supports farmers protest
Diljit Dosanjh, who has been vocal on his support to the protesting farmers, took to his Instagram and shared a picture of American singer Rihanna without any caption to express his gratitude after she tweeted in support of the protesting farmers in India. The picture was accompanied by her song, ‘Run This Town’. Diljit also shared a Punjabi proverb on Twitter and wrote: "Jaat Di Kohr Kirli, Shateeriyan Nu Jaffe... (which in English means that your status in life is rather insignificant but you know how to talk big)."
