Meanwhile, several hotspots across 15 districts in Uttar Pradesh were sealed completely with the authorities assuring that basic amenities would be home delivered to the trapped residents.

PM Narendra Modi chaired a meeting with Chief Ministers to discuss plans on the extension of lockdown. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Amrinder Singh urged PM Modi to extend the lockdown to avoid the spread of the deadly virus.
