India begins COVID-19 vaccination for 15-18 age group - PICS from across the country

Amid a surge in COVID-19 cases, India on Monday (January 3, 2022) extended its national vaccination drive to inoculate children in the 15 to 18 years age group.
According to the Cowin portal at 10:30 AM, over 9.8 lakh registrations have been done so far in the 15-18 years age group. The Union Health Ministry has announced that the vaccine option for this age group would only be Bharat Biotech's Covaxin.

Uttar Pradesh

Gujarat

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel had launched the drive at a school in the Koba area of the state capital Gandhinagar and the state health department has set a target to cover 36 lakh beneficiaries in the category in one week.
