Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi on Monday to inaugurate phase 1 of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham project, which has been constructed at a cost of around Rs 339 crores. A total of 23 buildings will be inaugurated in phase 1 of the project.

The BJP leader also took a dip in the river Ganga and offered prayers to the Hindu deity. He later performed Rudhrabhishek at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
Modi also interacted with the construction workers and shared lunch with them after the inauguration ceremony.
