In pics: Famous leaders who got infected with coronavirus COVID-19

On October 1, US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for the novel coronavirus. On Monday, Trump left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he was admitted for treatment of COVID-19, and returned to the White House.

UK PM Boris Johnson was diagnosed with COVID-19 on April 5 after suffering from persistent symptoms of the coronavirus. On April 6 he was moved into intensive care, where he remained until April 9. He has since fully recovered from the infection.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau`s wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau had tested positive for the novel coronavirus in March. Following which Justin had undergone self isolation. She has since recovered from the infection.

Bolivia's interim President Jeanine Anez had tested COVID-19 positive on July 9. Anez said in a tweet she was "well" and continuing to work while in isolation.

Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro, a former army captain, had first announced his diagnosis on July 7. He has fully recoverd since then. 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah had tested positive for Covid on August 2. He has fully recoverd since then.
