IMD predicts heavy rain in 5 states today, issues orange alert for Delhi- Check full list
As per the IMD notification, isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh on September 15; over Haryana on September 16; over West Rajasthan on September 17 and 18.
New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted that intense spell of rainfall is likely over Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan and Gujarat till 16th September.
The Met department, in its detailed forecast, predicted that fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls are very likely several parts of the country as the monsoon gears up. As per the IMD notification, isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh on September 15; over Haryana on September 16; over West Rajasthan on September 17 and 18.

The weather department has predicted another spell of light to moderate rainfall in the national capital starting Wednesday night. Moreover an orange alert has been issued for moderate rain in the national capital on Thursday. Heavy rain is also expected at isolated places.
News Agency PTI also quoted an IMD official as saying that the national capital is likely to receive moderate rainfall over the next two days, which means the capital is likely to witness another record for monsoon precipitation.
