Weather update: Temperature to rise in Delhi, heat wave warning issued for UP, Maha, other states; check full forecast here

In Delhi, the mercury is predicted to breach the 40-degree mark on Monday amid clear skies and gradually rise to 44 degrees Celsius by Thursday.

The city, notably, has so far recorded eight heatwave days in April this year, the maximum since 11 such days witnessed in the month in 2010.

For UP, the heat wave warning has been issued for April 26, April 27 and April 28.

The heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail over Punjab and Haryana from April 27 and April 28.

Over Bihar, the heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail during April 25 and April 26. 

The IMD has said that the maximum temperature in Madhya Pradesh will rise by 2-3°C during the next three days and no large change thereafter.

Heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail in isolated pockets over Gujarat in the next five days, the IMD predicted on Sunday. 

The met department has issued a heat wave warning for central Maharashtra from April 25 to April 28. 

In Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal, heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail between April 26 and April 28. 

IMD, meanwhile, has also predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall over northeastern States.
