The fate of Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Goa and Punjab will be decided on Thursday (March 10) as the Election Commission of India is set to begin the process of counting votes tomorrow.

A controversy pertaining to the EVM tampering erupted after Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav alleged that a truck with several EVMs was found in Varanasi.

Ever since then, SP workers have staged a protest and are sitting outside the vote counting centres to ensure any hindrance and discrepancies in the process.

Meanwhile, BJP National President JP Nadda on Wednesday performed rituals and Rudra Abhishek in Ujjain’s Mahakaal temple ahead of the counting day.

Voting for the seventh and last phase of Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh was held on Monday.

The counting of votes will take place on March 10.

 So far, the exit polls have predicted a comfortable win for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, Goa and Manipur while Aam Aadmi Party is likely to emerge as the single biggest party in Punjab.
