Assam's flood situation remained grim on Saturday (June 25) with the death count rising to 118. Silchar town in Cachar district remained submerged for the sixth straight day, officials said.

Assam Floods: Relief material distributed
Relief materials were distributed from 409 delivery points among the flood-affected people, who have not taken shelter in the camps. Large-scale erosion was also reported from several places, including Baksa, Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Dibrugarh, Darrang, Golaghat, Hailakandi and Kamrup, a bulletin issued by the Assam State Management Disaster Authority (ASDMA) said.
