Ashish Mishra arrested in Lakhimpur Kheri violence case

Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra's son Ashish Mishra has been arrested in connection with Lakhimpur Kheri violence where eight people were killed. The nine-member SIT headed by Deputy Inspector General of Police Upendra Agarwal arrested Mishra on Saturday (October 9) after quizzing him for more than 11 hours.

India, China to hold another round of high-level military talks today

India and China will reportedly hold another round of high-level military talks on Sunday (October 10) with an aim to continue the disengagement process in the remaining friction points in eastern Ladakh. The 13th round of talks between the two countries since violent clashes last year is likely to begin around 10:30 AM at the Moldo border point on the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control.

The Uttar Pradesh police on Saturday raised the cash reward for information on each of the six policemen booked in the murder case of a Kanpur business to Rs 1 lakh.
