Best PM in Independent India

In the survey, people were asked to choose who is the ''best PM of Independent India'' among Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Manmohan Singh and Narendra Modi. Out of these, the C-Voter survey got the maximum response to three names - Narendra Modi, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Indira Gandhi.

About 47 per cent respondents have chosen Narendra Modi as the "Best PM ever in Independent India,'' according to the recent c-Voter survey.

In the C-Voter survey, only 8 percent people have chosen Manmohan Singh as a better Prime Minister.

Decline In PM Modi's Popularity

Decline In PM Modi's Popularity

C-Voter survey shows a decline in PM Modi'popularity. However, he is still the most preferred choice for the PM's post with 52 per cent votes in his favour as compared to Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal, Nitish Kumar and Rahul Gandhi. In the same survey last year, PM Modi was the top choice of about 53 per cent respondents.

Jump in Rahul Gandhi's Popularity

Jump in Rahul Gandhi's Popularity

Interestingly, there has been a jump in Rahul Gandhi's popularity due to the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Nearly 14 per cent people prefer him as their ''top choice'' for the PM's post, while last year only 9 per cent people expressed their trust in the Congress MP.
