Happy Birthday Aishwarya Rai: Check out top Hollywood movies of former Miss World

Directed by Doug Lefler, this 2007 film is based on an Italian novel of the same name. Aishwarya Rai plays the character of Mira, a martial arts expert from India - who becomes an agent of Byzantine Empire, in the film. 

Aishwarya plays an immigrant woman who is called ‘Mistress of Spices’ - one who can predict the future and help people through the medium of spices. However, twist comes in when she falls in love with a man as she can't use her powers to held her own self.

This 2004 Gurinder Chadha-directed film is an Indianized adaptation of the classical novel 'Pride and Prejudice'. Aishwarya plays the main lead in the film.

Based on the true life of Karanjeet Kaur - an Indian woman who migrates to London after getting married, depicts the exploitation she faced from her husband for 10 years. Unable to bear any further, she killed him and then had to languish in jail.

Aishwarya Rai was part of the stellar cast of the 2009 mystery-comedy film 'The Pink Panther 2'  where she donned the role of criminology expert Sonia Solandres.
