IRCTC launches Vaishno Devi package: Check booking cost, itinerary and more

IRCTC Tourism has announced that it’s now going to offer a new package for religious travellers planning to visit Mata Vaishno Devi, Jammu.

New Delhi: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is known for offering various tour and travel packages across some of the most scenic and religious locations in the country. IRCTC Tourism has announced that it’s now going to offer a new package for religious travellers planning to visit Mata Vaishno Devi.

IRCTC is offering three nights and four days Vaishno Devi package that let pilgrims visit the popular shrine of Vaishno Devi. Located at an altitude of 5200 ft, the religious site is located at a distance of about 12 kms from Katra.

IRCTC is selling the Vaishno Devi Package at Rs 5795 per person, the state-owned company announced from its official Twitter account.

The trip will begin in New Delhi. Passengers will take an AC 3 tier train to Katra, Jammu, on the first date of the trip. On the second, all the tourists will arrive at the Jammu station.

After reaching the Jammu Railway Station, passengers will be taken to Katra via a non-AC vehicle on sharing basis. The group size of the passengers will depend on the group size.

The train will take a halt at the Saraswati Dham to collect the registration slip of the Mata Vaishno Devi yatra. Passengers will then check in to the hotel where they will be provided with breakfast.

After a drop at the Banganga, passengers will be able to take the darshan at the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and will return to the hotel where they will stay for the night. On the next day, they’ll travel back to Jammu Railway Station where they’ll take a train back to New Delhi, marking the end of the religious pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi.
