IRCTC launches Shri Ramayan Yatra: Check fare, destinations and dates of 17-day long pilgrimage

New Delhi: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) offers a score of tour packages across the country. Now, in a bid to promote religious tourism and the Central government’s ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ programme, the Indian Railways has launched Shri Ramayana Yatra.
The 17-day long journey takes tourists to places related to the life of Lord Rama, including his birthplace Ayodhya. The journey will begin on November 7 from Safdarjung railway station in Delhi.

During the 17 day journey, tourists will get to see Ram Janam Bhoomi Temple, Saryu Ghat and more in Ayodhya, Ram-Janki Mandir in Janakpur, Tulsi Manas Temple, Sankat Mochan temple and more places in Varanasi.
The journey will also take pit stops at Sitamarhi, Prayag, Chitrakoot, Shringaverpur, Hampi, Nasik and Rameshwaram, among other religious destinations. Tourists will also get to see the Ram-Janki Temple in Janakpur, Nepal.

During the Shri Ramayan Yatra, travellers will get an eight-night stay in deluxe accommodation and another eight-night stay in Rail coaches. Passengers will be served all the meals (only veg).
