With the assistance of JandK Operations Private Limited, an IIT Madras-incubated company has created a mobile operating system to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goal of making India a "Atmanirbhar." Its creators have given it the name "BharOS" and stated that the 100 crore mobile phone users in the nation stand to gain from this OS.

Commercially available phones with off-the-shelf software can be used. The OS, according to its creators, has been created to give users a better secure experience. Here are five things to be aware of with India's unique operating system.
