IIT Madras-linked firm created indigenous mobile operating system; 5 things you must know

With the assistance of JandK Operations Private Limited, an IIT Madras-incubated company has created a mobile operating system to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goal of making India a "Atmanirbhar." Its creators have given it the name "BharOS" and stated that the 100 crore mobile phone users in the nation stand to gain from this OS.

Commercially available phones with off-the-shelf software can be used. The OS, according to its creators, has been created to give users a better secure experience. Here are five things to be aware of with India's unique operating system.

BharOS, as the developers, claims that this system will offer more freedom too users to choose or work on apps as per their needs. This software will provide users with more privacy and security as per the promise of developers.

In the android system, the phone's storage is already occupied with some operating apps. But in this system, you will get more space free as this software works on the No Default Apps (NDA) concept.

Like android phones, the users will automatically receive NOTA (Native Over The Air) updates. They don't have to initiate the process of auto updating.

The newly developed system grant access to trusted apps from PASS. PASS is a platform that offers access to a list of apps that have met or stand on the standard security or privacy parameters.

This operating system is not available for all users at the moment. Only organisations having strict or tough security systems can use BharOS.
