Govt unveils homegrown app ‘Mobile Seva App Store’, targets Google and Apple
IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said in Rajya Sabha that this is going to give the much-needed ‘boost’ for the indigenous app store. This will further lessen the dependency on the tech giants like Google and Apple and it is aimed at providing impetus to India’s “Make In India” initiative.
In order to counter the monopoly enjoyed by big tech companies such as Google and Apple, the government has come up with a homegrown app store called MobileSeva App Store. IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said in Rajya Sabha that this is going to give the much-needed ‘boost’ for the indigenous app store.
