New Delhi: The Centre has proposed a plan to run a bullet train service between Delhi and Ayodhya to reduce the travel between the two cities to just two hours. The major reason behind the move is to bring the religious city of Ayodhya closer with the world, especially when many are eager to pay a visit to the Ram Mandir. 

The Delhi to Ayodhya train project is expected to be built with all state-of-the-art facilities. The Centre is expecting that the project will cost about Rs 200 lakh crore.

Currently, the 670 km distance between New Delhi and Ayodhya is covered by a long and tiring road journey of about 14-15 hours. Passengers also travel 10-18 hours by train to reach the pious land. 

 

However, with the bullet train, passengers will be able to reach Ayodhya from Delhi in just two hours. The train is expected to run at 350 km/hr.
