Putting an end to all the speculations, Audi India on Wednesday (June 23) announced that the company is all set to finally launch the e-tron SUV in the country. The German automaker's next big launch will take place on 22 July 2021.
Audi e-tron rivals
The Audi e-tron will be the first electric car of the company in India. In the current scenario, the Audi e-tron is all set to rival Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar I-Pace. The Mercedes-Benz EQC was launched in India last year.
The car is also likely to rival Tesla in India after its speculated launch in the coming months. Audi sold 17,641 units of the car in Q1 2020 worldwide, pointing out the popularity of the electric car.
Audi e-tron features and battery
Audi e-tron sports a 71.2 kWh battery pack, which is said to be capable enough of crossing the 0-100 kmph mark in just 6.8 seconds. The car has a top speed of 190 kmph.
On a full charge, the luxury SUV offers a range of around 282 km and 340 km. The range varies on factors like terrain, occupants, and drive patterns which basically depends on speed. The luxury SUV also offers four-zone climate control.
