MG Windsor EV: MG has finally launched its new electric CUV, the Windsor EV, in India. Available in three trims – Excite, Exclusive, and Essence – prices start at Rs 9.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). However, this does not include the cost of the battery. Customers will need to pay Rs 3.5 per kilometre, in addition to the one-time ex-showroom cost, as a rental for the battery. This program, called BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service), is a battery rental program introduced by MG Motors India for the Windsor EV.

Bookings for the Windsor EV will open on 3rd October, with deliveries starting on 13th October 2024. Available in four colors: Starburst Black, Turquoise Green, Clay Beige, and Pearl White, the Windsor EV measures 4.3 metres in length and has a 2,700mm wheelbase. It offers a 5-seat layout. For reference, the Hyundai Creta also measures 4.3 meters in length.

For comfort, the rear seats recline up to 135 degrees, and there are rear AC vents, a center armrest, and three-point seat belts for all passengers. Safety features include six airbags, a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, tyre pressure monitoring, all-around disc brakes, and an electronic parking brake.
