Mumbai: Soon after her appearance in the fifth season of Salman Khan’s ‘Bigg Boss’, Sunny Leone became a household name in India. She was offered her first Bollywood film by Mahesh Bhatt and since then there’s no looking back.
The former adult movie actress is now extremely popular in Bollywood too. But it was difficult for her in the initial days here. According to a report in DNA, Sunny while talking to Neha Dhupia on her latest Podcast recalled an instance from the past.
She spoke about her first awards show where the organisers wanted to have her on stage with another actor. But no one was apparently ready to share stage with her.
“They wanted to put me on stage with another woman or any other actor and all of them said no. But someone really nice ended up saying yes.”
The person who agreed to share the stage with her was Chunky Pandey.
“When a new person comes in and specially when they think it’s shady or who is this person, where does she come from. There is some sense of curiosity. Plus, at that time, there were probably many women who didn’t like me. I’m okay with that, I don’t really care so much, but it was weird to sit there, and I was sitting there for a very long time because they couldn’t find somebody to go on stage with me. Somebody told Daniel and then he told me.”
