Mumbai: Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have reportedly flown to Rome for their honeymoon. The newlyweds will return to the capital (Virat’s hometown) soon to host a wedding reception for friends and relatives.
The star cricketer and the film actress solemnised their marital union in presence of family and close friends in Tuscany, Italy, in the lap of nature on December 11. There were just about 44 people who witnessed the marriage ceremony and isn’t that unusual for a traditional Punjabi wedding?
The couple has sent lovely invites to their guests for the reception in the capital and it’s as gorgeous as their wedding ensemble.

The colour of the invites matches their wedding attire. The invite contains a paper bag box with floral prints. The box has a tiny plant and Virushka’s name printed adjacent to it.
The couple issued a joint statement to announce their marriage soon after the hush-hush wedding.
The statement read: “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”
Anushka, who had reportedly applied for a tourist visa to South Africa will be accompanying husband to the country as he leads India in matches against the hosts for the first time after losing his bachelorhood.
The couple is also expected to host another wedding reception in Mumbai on December 26 for film industry friends and colleagues.
