Vikas Bahl returns back to Hrithik Roshan's Super 30

Did Madhu Mantena convince Hrithik Roshan to complete 'Super 30' with Vikas Bahl?

Vikas Bahl returns back to Hrithik Roshan's Super 30

New Delhi: The fate of Hrithik Roshan's upcoming film 'Super 30' has been in a state of flux ever since film director Vikas Bahl was accused of sexual misconduct by a former employee of Phantom Films. Following the allegations, it was reported that Bahl was apparently asked by the makers to move out of the project and a search for a new name to replace him had begun.

Following the allegations, a lot of fingers were pointed put at Hrithik, who was the lead star of Vikas Bahl's directorial flick 'Super 30'. The actor, who was then touring, issued a statement on Twitter that he wouldn't want to work with Vikas or any director accused of sexual misconduct. He also mentioned that he has requested the makers to take stock of the apparent facts and take a harsh stand if needed on the matter.

However, things took a u-turn when the woman survivor decided not to pursue a legal case against Bahl, leading to the director to re-enter the project. Now, a report has claimed that following the ex-Phantom's employee's decision to not file a complaint against Bahl, the filmmaker is back to work and has taken over the post-production work of the film.

"Not that Vikas is being taken back into the production company. But now with the lady clearly withdrawing her case, the project somehow needs to be finished and released," a source close to the development was quoted by Deccan Chronicle.

'Super 30' is co-produced by Reliance Entertainment and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Earlier, Phantom Films was also one of the co-producers of the film. The buzz is that Madhu Mantena, who was one of the co-partners, convinced Hrithik to get back with Vikas Bahl to finish the shoot. A Bollywood Hungama report said that Mantena flew to Lisbon this Sunday where he had a lengthy discussion with Hrithik and convinced him to get back on board and complete the film with Bahl.

After the meeting, the superstar is reported to have agreed to return and complete the film with the accused filmmaker.

Bahl's lawyer had earlier told news agency ANI, "The matter has been adjourned to October 23. The victim has made a statement that she is not going to file any complaint against Vikas. So you can deduce from that as to what the whole battle was about."

Bahl, meanwhile, has filed a Rs 10-crore defamation suit against Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, his ex-partners at Phantom Films.
