New Delhi: Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha celebrates his birthday today and on that happy occasion, darling daughter Sonakshi took to Twitter and shared an adorable picture with the fans. She even wrote a sweet message for the 'khamosh' star.

Shotgun as he is fondly called got his first break in Dev Anand's Prem Pujari where he played a Pakistani military officer. After that the roles kept coming his way and it was 'Dost' in 1974 and 'Kalicharan' in 1976 which sort made him a superstar.
After starring in a number of blockbuster projects such as Kalicharan, Vishwanath, Jaani Dushman, Blackmail , Shaan, Dostana , Teesri Aankh and Ganga Meri Maa to name a few, the superstar went on to enter politics.
His successful political journey kicked off in 2008-2009 and still continues. The actor-politician was a member of the Lok Sabha between (2009-2014, 2014-2019). He was also a Rajya Sabha member twice and held the position of Union Cabinet Minister of Health and Family Welfare during (Jan 2003-May 2004) and Shipping (August 2004). He was elected to 15th Lok Sabha in 2009.
The magical journey of Shatrughan Sinha continues to inspire many as he is actively involved in working for the betterment of the people of India.
