Mumbai: Last week saw en emotional reunion of the Bigg Boss 11 inmates and their real gharwales. Shilpa Shinde’s mother had visited the house last week and was greeted by every contestant expect Arshi Khan, who believed that Shilpa had made faces when her father had entered the house.
It was indeed an overwhelming moment for each of them. Soon after her mother came out of the house, she reportedly revealed why her daughter’s wedding with her Maayka co-star was called off.
According to a report in India.com, Shilpa’s mother said that the wedding was called off just a couple of days before the scheduled date. Goa had been finalised as their wedding destination and all the arrangements had been made for the same. She said that Shilpa had chosen Romit for being a gentleman she realised that they had different ideologies and thought processes. Moreover, as a couple they had too many differences of opinion and hence Shilpa decided it would be best to not get married to Romit.
“I had left everything because of my marriage. As a girl I know what my responsibility towards my husband and his family is and I used to do everything according to his will. I kept all his family members in mind but he still expected more from me. My wedding preparations were done, my wedding outfit was ready, I had even bought my jewellery and the cards were also printed. It is very sad that I had to call off my marriage one month prior to the actual date. But I feel it is a wise decision and I am very happy that at least now I won't have to make adjustments for each and every single thing. I will now be able to take my own decisions,” India Today quoted Shilpa as saying during an earlier interview.
