Mumbai: Will Rajinikanth join active politics? Well, this is one question everyone is asking? His entry will change the dynamics of the political scene in Tamil Nadu and also largely influence India’s political position. But whether or not he really intends to enter the political field is a big mystery.
The Thalaiva himself has dropped ample hints about a possibility of joining politics but his family is absolutely against it, reports suggest. Speculations are rife that the megastar may meet his friend Amitabh Bachchan soon to seek his advice as the latter too had entered the political domain in the past.
According to a report in DNA, Rajini is only mildly tempted. A number of people representing several political parties have met him in the recent past thereby triggering future speculations but the man in question hasn’t made up his mind yet.
“He may be mildly tempted to get into active politics, but he won’t. His family is dead against bringing politics into Rajini’s career. They cite the example of Amitabh Bachchan, who to this day, regrets his sticky stint in politics,” DNA quoted a close friend of the actor as saying.
“He wishes to think over the issue, talk about it and explore the possibility. Even though there is a lot of pressure on him to get into active politics from many quarters, he is no hurry to bite the bait. He will be meeting old friends whose judgment he trusts, including Bachchan saab and discuss it with them,” the source added.
