A few days ago, Twinkle Khanna had apologised for a sly dig she took at Mallika Dua in her Twitter post surrounding the controversy involving her husband, Akshay Kumar and Mallika.

New Delhi: A few days ago, Twinkle Khanna had apologised for a sly dig she took at Mallika Dua in her Twitter post surrounding the controversy involving her husband, Akshay Kumar and Mallika. 

Mrs Funnybones took to Facebook and wrote an apology in which she confessed that she got pulled into this debate not as a social commentator but as a wife and unlike her normal, slightly rational self, her reaction was purely emotional and without perspective. Twinkle also said that she has been stuck in a miserable condition ever since.

Mallika, took to Twitter to give a reply to Twinkle Khanna's apology.

For the uninitiated, the controversy began when Akshay Kumar had passed a comment on his co- judge Mallika Dua on the show 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.'. Akshay had said-
'Mallika Ji, aap bell bajao, mai aapko bajata hoon'. 

This comment had angered her father, Vinod Dua a veteran journalist who then took to Twitter to slam the actor. 

Twinkle had reacted by saying that humour must be seen in its right context.

The controversy has been making headlines for quite some time now. The portion of Akshay's comment was not aired by the channel but it still caught attention after someone shared it online.
