New Delhi: Renowned Sufi singer Pyare Lal Wadali, one of the Wadali Brothers fame breathed his last on March 9, 2018. He died of a heart attack at a private hospital in Punjab, family members said. He was 75.

The Sufi singer brothers have rendered their voices to various songs. Both Pyare Lal Wadali and Puranchand Wadali sang the hit track 'Tu Maane Yaa Na Maane' which became a rage in 2004. It was a part of their album 'Farid'.

According to PTI, Pyare Lal Wadali was admitted to the hospital on Monday following a complaint of chest pain. He was put on ventilator support after his condition deteriorated but he could not be revived.

The legendary singer survived by wife, two sons and three daughters. He maestro was honoured with several state and national level awards along with his elder brother.

Several celebrities took to Twitter and expressed their grief over Pyare Lal Wadali's sudden demise:

The Wadali Brothers sang for films like Pinjar (2003), Dhoop (2003), Chikku Bukku (2010, Tamil) Song: "Thooral Nindralum" Sung by Hariharan, Wadali Brothers, Tanu Weds Manu (2011) and Mausam (2011).

The list of awards include:

Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, 1992.

Tulsi Award, 1998.

Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, 2003.

Puranchand Wadali was awarded the Padma Shri award by the Government of India, 2005.

Life Time Achievement Award 2015 in PTC awards in jalandhar.
