New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is currently chilling in South Africa with wifey Twinkle Khanna. The National Award winning actor took to Instagram and shared an adorable picture-post on his wife's birthday.
Tina, as many call her fondly turns a year older on December 29 and just she is enjoying her South African sojourn, doting hubby Akki wrote on the photo-sharing site: “Forever making every ride full of adventure and amusement, my favourite companion...for life! Happy birthday, Tina.”
Aww! Well, Twinkle, who is also an acclaimed author and called Mrs Funnybones especially after the super successful book by the same name has turned producer now and her maiden venture Padman stars Akshay as the lead.
The film has been directed by R Balki. It stars Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles opposite Akshay. It is based on the real-life incident of Arunachalam Murugananth am—the man whose initiative to invent low-cost sanitary pad making machines in rural India helped not only his wife but other women in his village to lead a hygienic life.
Interestingly, Twinkle had mentioned about the story of 'Padman' aka Arunachalam in the final short story titled ‘The Sanitary Man from A Sacred Land’ in her second novel ‘The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad’.
Also, Twinkle shares her birthday with late father and megastar Rajesh Khanna.
