Vietnam's ''Ceramic King'' has over 100,000 antiques

 After almost 25 years of collecting antique ceramic items, a Vietnamese man has accumulated over 100,000 antique ceramic items and has been dubbed the "Ceramic King".

Ho Chi Minh City: After almost 25 years of collecting antique ceramic items, a Vietnamese man has accumulated over 100,000 antique ceramic items and has been dubbed the "Ceramic King".

According to a report in the Vietnamnet daily on Tuesday, Dinh Cong Tuong, 48, began collecting antique ceramic items at the age of 24 after his aunt gave him an ancient bowl and plate as gifts, Xinhua news agency reported.

His collection includes ancient pottery items from Vietnam, China, Singapore, France and Japan dating back from the 12th century to the early 20th century.

In 2011, the Guinness Book Center of Vietnam credited Tuong with owning the largest collection of ceramic antiques in Vietnam, with over 80,000 items then.
