Washington: In an incredible capture, a video, believed to have been filmed in the US or the UK, shows a boy almost drowning in a swimming pool full of people, inflatable rings, and recurrent wave. All thanks to a vigil lifeguard, standing on the pool’s edge, the boy was rescued well in time.
Ten seconds into the video, posted on YouTube, a young boy can be seen toppling into the water as he loses control off his flotation device probably because of the force of a passing wave.
Before anybody in the crowded pool could notice the drowning boy, an eagle-eyed lifeguard spots the commotion and dives into the pool, rescues the child within 10 seconds and brings the child back to safety.
The video shows the lifeguard super quickly lifting the boy in a way that his head is out of the water, patting him on the back and swimming over towards the side of the pool with the boy.
According to the World Health Organisation, drowning is the third leading cause of all unintentional injury death worldwide.
