Kenya bus attack: Muslims protect Christians from Islamist militants, set an example

El Wak: There is a phrase - "United we stand, divided we fall". Living up to meaning of this phrase in real life, a group of Muslims came forward to protect Christian passengers when the bus they were travelling on was ambushed by armed Islamist militants.

According to a report in BBC, eyewitnesses say, during the bus attack, a group of Kenyan Muslims refused to be split into groups to protest Christians. The Muslims told the militants 'to kill them together or leave them alone'.

This act by Muslims has set an example for others to follow.

At least two persons were killed in the attack by Islamist gunmen, near the north-eastern village of El Wak on the Somali border.

The Somali-based al-Shabab group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
