A New Zealand paramedic has set a new world record by performing a static trapeze act while suspended at an altitude of more than 3,000 metres.

Anna Cochrane, also a Pilates teacher, performed the act for more than 5 minutes on February 14, while hanging from a hot air balloon in the skies above Ashburton, on the east coast of New Zealand's South Island.

Though Cochrane dislocated her rib after about a minute, but persevered to complete the act.
