Iran's Foreign Ministry has condemned Friday's deadly terrorist attack in Pakistan and urged the international community to cooperate in tackling the problem, media reported on Sunday.

At least 18 persons were killed and more than 50 others injured in two suicide attacks in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, reports said.

Iran Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi offered condolences to the Pakistan government and the families of the victims.

"The international responsibility remains ... to address the cruel events in the region in the face of atrocities afflicting the people on daily basis," Xinhua news agency cited Qasemi as saying in a statement.

"The fight against extremism entails strong resolve and global coordination," he said.
