The police on Tuesday visited the residence of the class V student who died after allegedly being confined to a toilet by seniors at the Christ Church Girls` High School at Dum Dum.

Barasat: The police on Tuesday visited the residence of the class V student who died after allegedly being confined to a toilet by seniors at the Christ Church Girls` High School at Dum Dum.

A team of police officers, led by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Biswajit Ghosh, met the parents of the girl and collected information about the treatment the student, Oindrila Das, received at the nursing home she was admitted to after her ordeal.

They also collected her diary, books and exercise books and other stationery she used at the school, sources said.

The girl died on September 11 allegedly traumatised by being locked up in a toilet of the school by her seniors.

On September 12, the school`s principal, Helen Sarkar, was arrested on the charge of negligence of duty after she resigned under pressure from guardians.

The guardians, along with outsiders, ransacked the school in protest against the death.

Meanwhile, a team of forensic experts visited the school and collected samples from the institution which was vandalised, the police said.
