Three Bangladeshis arrested in Kolkata, sent to police custody

Three Bangladeshi nationals, who did not have valid documents for entering the country, have been arrested from the city and remanded to police custody, police said on Sunday.

Kolkata: Three Bangladeshi nationals, who did not have valid documents for entering the country, have been arrested from the city and remanded to police custody, police said on Sunday.
"Acting on a tip-off, three Bangladeshis-- Nur Hossein, Zaman and Salim-- were last night arrested from the Kaikhali area of Baguihati. They did not have any valid documents," Deputy Commissioner, Detective Department of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate, Arnab Ghosh, said.

"The three persons were produced in court today and remanded to eight days of police custody. We have started our investigation," Ghosh said.

According to the police, the three are dreaded criminals of Bangladesh and have several cases registered against them there.
