New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Sangeet Som said that despite ban by the administration, he will still visit Moradabad, as per news reports on Sunday.

Som further took a dig at Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dharamvir and said that if he wants to indulge in politics then he should resign from his post and contest elections.

He also demanded SSP`s resignation after he blamed Bharatiya Janata Party`s (BJP) call for `mahapanchayat` for violence in Kanth village.
Som`s reaction came after he was barred from entering Moradabad by district administration which further threatened to take action against him if he violates the order.

The district administration said that a case will be lodged against Som if he enters the district.
The controversy erupted after clashes between the police, BJP workers and villagers took place after communal tension flared in the region following the removal of loudspeakers from a temple.

After the incident, four Bharatiya Janata Party leaders - Amroha MP Kanwar Singh Tanwar, Rampur MP Nepal Singh and Sambhal MP Satyal Saini, along with Sardhana legislator Sangeet Som - who were detained Friday have been released.

Meanwhile, a BJP team including party MLA Suresh Rana arrived in the district on Sunday.
