Shocking! Money rain at Vrindavan's Banke Bihari temple

Agra: The devotees of the famous Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan met with an utmost surprising incident when they saw crisp currency notes falling from the sky as if the rain God was too kind on them that day.

The incident took place last week when 500 rupee notes started raining from the top of the temple which continued for quite some time.

People in the temple were awe-struck and started gathering the notes in frenzy. Everyone thought it was a miracle. But a few minutes later the truth was revealed.

According to an English daily, Hemvati Sonkar, a 50-year-old woman from Borivali, Mumbai was on a trip with her family to Agra, Mathura, and Vrindavan. She was carrying Rs 1.5 lakh cash with her.

Suddenly, a monkey snatched the bag of notes from her, went on top of a tree, adjoining the temple and started throwing the money from there.

Since, the monkey was hiding inside the tree, it looked like a downpour of money from the skies. The temple is believed to be home to hundreds of monkeys.
