Five persons and two policemen were injured today after workers of a company here staged violent protest against the termination of two employees.

Faridabad: Five persons and two policemen were injured today after workers of a company here staged violent protest against the termination of two employees.

The problem started yesterday when the workers came to know about the termination of services of two employees by the company located at Sector-31 on National Highway near DLF Industrial area, police said.

Workers gathered at the gate of the factory to protest against the management today morning, they said.

However, the owner of the company, V K Jain, announced that whoever wishes to continue their jobs should come inside and start work while those who don't come in can get their accounts cleared.

A few workers who tried to get inside were stopped by those protesting. A clash arose between the two groups following which police intervened, police said.

Five persons and two policemen were injured in the incident as the agitators started pelting stones.
