Prashant Kishor out of Congress' gameplan for UP?

New Delhi: Campaign strategist Prashant Kishor is out of Congress' mission to reclaim Uttar Pradesh, a report claimed on Monday.

As per a report in The Economic Times, the state leadership of Congress in UP has joined ranks to express inability to work with him.

The differences between Kishor and UP Congress had been simmering for a while now. The matter took a turn for the worse after Kishor met Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, adding to speculation that he is looking at ditching the Congress for SP.

The ET report added that Kishor will now largely focus on Punjab and may be roped in at the last leg of the campaign in UP.

Most members of Kishor's team have also come back to Delhi from Lucknow.

The newspaper claims that Kishor was insisting that the campaign in UP should be Priyanka centric and even threatened to resign if she was not brought in for statewide campaigning.
