Allahabad: The Allahabad High Court today stayed the selection process of more than 3500 Gram Panchayat Officers which was being conducted by Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission.
Justice P K S Baghel, while staying the selection process of 3589 Gram Panchayat Officers, asked the Commission's counsel to file a reply on the next date of hearing on September 21.
The order was passed by a petition filed by one Abhishek Kumar of Azamgarh district who had alleged that in the selection process, pursuant to vacancies advertised on June 18, rules were not being followed.
