Dadri lynching: No mention of beef/cow slaughter in UP govt's report to MHA?

New Delhi/Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has reportedly sent a report on the Dadri lynching case to the Ministry of Home Affairs in Delhi.

However, as per media reports, the report has no mention of beef/cow slaughter, and is mum on the motive behind Akhlaq's murder. The report apparently says that Akhlaq was lynched for consuming meat of animal whose slaughter is banned.

Media reports further claimed that the report does not blame any group for the killing of Akhlaq in Bisada village of Greater Noida.

The UP government report adds that investigations are currently on in the case.

Meanwhile, politics continued over the incident even as the family of the deceased has appealed for calm and peace.

Yesterday, the MHA had issued an advisory to state governments stating that zero tolerance had to be maintained towards any attempt to weaken the secular fabric of nation.

The MHA also said that it was concerned with various incidents with communal overtones across the country including the recent unfortunate incident at Dadri.
