Dadri/Lucknow: Controversial BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Som said on Monday that the mental health of Azam Khan was not stable and that the Samajwadi Party leader should get himself treated.
Som also said that since no law was being made against cow slaughtering, it meant that state government was supporting it.
“I think CBI or court ordered SIT should be the one investigating this case, UP government will not do a good job,” he added, as per the BJP MP leader.
At the same time Som alleged, “I think Azam Khan is involved in this, and if he is involved that means the UP government is involved in this.
In Lucknow, Azam Khan alleged that the Dadri lynching was "pre-planned and executed" by BJP.
He also attacked the RSS, saying it is looking for issues to divide communities on religious lines.
The SP leader said that he will a letter to the United Nations about the Dadri killing.
Meanwhile, as the political slugest over the Dadri lynching escalated, the District Magistrate NP Singh today said legal experts have been asked to examine video footage of the remarks made by Som and appropriate action will be taken even as UP minister Azam Khan accused BJP of "planning and executing" the killing.
The district authorities decided to further restrict entry of visitors to the troubled spot as tension spread to nearby areas after meat pieces were found last evening in Chithera village, which is about five km from Bishada, as per PTI.
BJP leader Sanjay Rana, father of Vishal Rana who is an arrested accused in the case, claimed his son was 50 km away from the village when the lynching incident took place.
50-eyar-old Iqlakh was dragged out of his home by a 200-strong mob and beaten to death after a public announcement from the local temple that the family had eaten beef last Monday night in Bishada village.
