Delhi: For the high-stakes 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, BJP president Amit Shah has roped in some of the best minds trained by election strategist Prashant Kishor, as per a media report.

According to Indian Express group, Shah has set up a team of 50 professionals who once used to work with Kishor’s organisation - 'Citizens for Accountable Governance.'

It is said that Shah and Kishor really do not like each other much. This was said to be ever since Kishor was working with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the run-up to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Later Kishor joined Nitish Kumar's camp and is said to have strategised the victory of RJD-JD(U) in Bihar.

The 50 people picked by Shah were supposedly once trained by Kishor and include his former colleagues Anil Jain, Anuj Gupta, Sunil Kanugulu, Alkesh and Himanshu Singh, as per the report.

It further said that the team was presently working for the BJP from Bengaluru and will shift to Lucknow soon.

UP is likely to see a four-cornered fight between Samajwadi Party, BSP, Congress and the BJP.
