Chennai: DMDK chief and Tamil Nadu chief ministerial candidate Captain Vijayakanth will fight the upcoming Assembly Elections in the state from Ulundurpet constituency.

Vijayakanth had last time won from the Rishivandhyam constituency.

It was earlier reported that Vijayakanth will start campaigning after the declaration of candidates' list

Party women's wing chief and his wife Pramalatha had said that the DMDK-Peoples' Welfare Front alliance was the real alternative to AIADMK and DMK.

DMDK has been alloted 124 seats and Vijayakanth named the CM candidate while the four-party PWF would share the remaining seats.
