J Jayalalithaa has "completely recovered", is looking forward when to take back the reigns: Apollo Hospitals chairman

Chennai: In a huge sigh of relief for 'Amma' supporters, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has "completely recovered", Apollo Hospitals said on Friday.

Giving update about AIADMK supremo's medical health condition, Apollo Hospitals chairman Pratap C Reddy said, "All I can say is, very clearly, she is very satisfied... What I mean by very satisfied, that means she has completely recovered. She is aware of what is going on around her."

Meanwhile, the official account of AIADMK tweeted: “Honourable CM aware of her surroundings, Understands what's going on around her - Pratap Reddy (Apollo Hospital)”.

Jayalalithaa was admitted to the Apollo Hospital on September 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration.

Later, the hospital had said she was being treated for infection with respiratory support among others.

The last bulletin on Jayalalithaa was issued on October 21 where it said she continued to be under treatment and observation for all vital parameters, respiratory support and passive physiotherapy.

According to Apollo, a team of specialists like cardiologists, respiratory physicians, consultants for infectious diseases, diabetologist and endocrinologist was treating Jayalalithaa.
